As of 2012, RYSA fields travel teams in the South Shore Soccer (SSSL) League. After many years in the Boston Area Youth Soccer league(BAYS), RYSA changed to SSSL due to travel issues. While BAYS had Canton and Milton, RYSA teams would often play Holliston, Acton/Boxboro and Framingham. Weeknight makeup games were often difficult to arrange. SSSL teams are in a smaller geographic area(Abington, Braintree, Bridgewater, Brockton, East Bridgewater, Easton, Hanson, Holbrook/Avon, North Attleboro, Quincy, Raynham, Rockland, Sharon, South Boston, Stoughton, West Bridgewater, Weymouth and Whitman).

To play on a travel team, a player must attend at least one of the scheduled tryouts and not be older than the age group they are trying out for. To tryout, a player must normally be from Randolph, but if you previously lived in Randolph, go to school in Randolph, or your town does not have a travel team in your age group, you are eligible to play for RYSA. Tryouts for next year's U9-U12 teams will be held during the Fall town season. Volunteer coaches are always needed. Dates for the tryouts are in the schedule book provided to all Fall players or may be found on the league web page in September. The U14, U16 and U18 teams do not usually hold tryouts. Interested players may sign up at the concession stand during the Fall season or contact the coaching coordinator.

Coaches will select their teams in November-December. Once selected, the player will be notified and must pay the player fee and purchase a uniform if they do not already own one. Players will then be notified when indoor practices begin. They generally start in February and are once per week.

With the change in leagues, there have been many changes in scheduling. U10's play 7 games, usually on Saturdays, although one U10 has mostly Sunday games this year. All other age groups play 8 game schedules, with U16 and U18 teams playing on Sundays. All games are done by the first weekend in June.

Teams above U10 can participate in the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions (MTOC). SSSL schedules playoffs during the first 2 wwekends of June to determine participants. MTOC provides teams a chance to compete at an even higher level, as they face top teams from leagues around the state on the MYSA fields in Lancaster, Ma.

The MTOC State Championships are held in June. For more info on the tournament, click here.
